The Best Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients
2 Cups flour
1 Cup Oil
1 ts Baking Soda
1 ts Baking Powder
1 ts Salt
2 Tb Cocoa
2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Buttermilk
2 ts Vanilla
4 drops of red food colouring
1 ts White Vinegar
1/2 Cup of hot coffee
- Cream Cheese Topping
200g Soft Butter
400g Icing Sugar
250g Cream Cheese
1ts Vanilla Essence
Directions
- Pre Heat the oven to 180 degrees
- Sif Flour, Baking soda, Baking powder, Cocoa and Salt together.
- In a separate bowl mix the Sugar and Oil together.
- Mix the Eggs, Buttermilk, Vanilla and Red Food Colouring with the sugar mixture
- Stir in the hot Coffee and Vinegar
- Combine the Sugar Mixture with the Flour mixture
- Bake for 30 – 40 Minutes. (Do not over bake)
- Cream Cheese Topping
- Beat the butter and icing sugar well in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the cream cheese and vanilla.
- Decorate each layer of the cake with the cream cheese frosting and decorate to taste
