The 27th of September 2022, at my Braai Entertainment Cooking Experience we had an exceptional guest speaker. Jp from Usana Pasture Farming Estate. Usana Pastures offers grass fed beef, pasture raised eggs & wine.

This business is a talented brother-team duo, Pierre and JP Winshaw. You can even say they are a bit of a Jack of all trades. With a well trained team by their side, Jp and Pierre keeps on growing. All of their cattle at Usana Pastures are grass-fed and grass-finished. All of their livestock are raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, and added growth hormones. Usana Pastures a perfect choice for your braai day.
Some of the excellent health benefits of Usana Pastures’ products are evidently, the meat being much leaner and the fats they do contain retain essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Grass-fed meat and its accompanying fats are not only higher in antioxidants, but also includes vitamin E, beta carotene and vitamin C, than the meat from non grass-fed beef. Meat from grass-fed beef also has anywhere from two to four times more omega-3 fatty acids than meat from non-grass fed beef.
Furthermore, the benefits of pasture raised eggs are quite amazing. Pasture raised eggs means that the chickens are allowed to roam free. Basically, these chickens spend the majority of their life out in the sunshine living a normal, healthy, active life! These chickens are given freedom to consume some feed and lots of grass, bugs, worms and anything else they can find in the dirt.
